Access to ICT (Information and Communications Technology) is an essential part of effective e Learning environments.
Educational:
There is a shift from instructor-centric to student-centric learning. The students can learn on their own and carry out research. It also helps prepare the students with job skills needed for local industries. Technology Enabled Learning increases test scores and parental involvement in their children's education. A student sitting under the tree in his school carrying out research.
ICT skills development:
TEL provides the avenue for the development of 21stcentury skills: media literacy, critical and systems thinking, problem solving, collaboration, self direction, global awareness, and civic literacy.
Information:
TEL improves student's access to information via the Internet. It facilitates collaboration, and group work.
Teaching:
It improves teachers’ subject knowledge and improve pedagogical practices, and assist in planning objectives, structuring lessons, etc. It provides teachers with dynamic audiovisual representations to teach scientific concepts.
